More Military Bashing Trump

Times are changing, more and more ex-military are feeling the need and right to speak out against Trump. So you think this is going to become more common in the future or is this likely just a Donald Trump issue?

“This fall, it’s time for new leadership in this country — Republican, Democrat or independent,” said William H. McRaven, the retired Navy admiral who directed the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. “President Trump has shown he doesn’t have the qualities necessary to be a good commander in chief.”

Admiral McRaven, in an interview on the 76th anniversary of D-Day, noted that those wartime leaders inspired Americans with “their words, their actions and their humanity.”

In contrast, he said, Mr. Trump has failed his leadership test. “As we have struggled with the Covid pandemic and horrible acts of racism and injustice, this president has shown none of those qualities,” Admiral McRaven said. “The country needs to move forward without him at the helm.”

Would that IYO apply to the others who've made statements recently? Are military leaders all supposed to be conservatives?

Pretty much.  Remember, these GO's (currently) rose to stardom on the backs of the interminable wars they - themselves - helped propagate. Look at the timing, most current GO's rose to prominence under "The One." The current crop of GO's lack the integrity, honor, humility, and virtue of their predecessors. Too many of these GO's idly sat by watching an endless stream of America's youth be sent to faraway lands to be brutalized, killed, and maimed and said nothing other than "this will look good for my next promotion." They now want to pretend they have a moral compass? Nope. Shut the hell up and get to the back of the line in the BX.

Do you speak of the "as seen on TV" Military-types linked to the media, or do you reference the hundreds of thousands of everyday rank and file 'ex-military' (aka Veterans) sounding off?

That's because Trump's put them out of a job. He's not starting any wars and the war mongers don't like it.
