what flies do you like to catch catch fluke/flounder?

what is the setup?

Currently have an 8wt intermediate tip on my Sage.  Should I get a sink tip?

Will be fishing in Duck, NC in the surf.

I'm in Brooklyn but I've been getting them on #1 clousers with an intermediate line. I let it sink for as long as I can stand before micro stripping and letting it swing through. This is in the bay.

One of the many generous fly fishers on this board recommended me a sink tip by OPST. I use their micro tip:  S6, 5 foot length.  I find that will help me get an INT line down fast, especially in moving current or waves.

Like above, I also use clousers and tie a bead chain version in brown/tan craft fur about the size of gulp 4” shrimp.  Look up “new penny” to get the idea on the color scheme. That plus olive /white, pink/white, or just all white and I really think you’ll do well.  Don’t forget the folks down south use a lot of sand fleas as bait. Was thinking of tying up some sand flea flies but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
