they haven't released a cause of death yet, no?

they seem to dance around if kneeling on someone's neck is standard procedure or not.

How do we assess the airway initially in a trauma?  Ask them a question.  If you can talk your airway's usually in pretty good shape.

I guess we need to hear from the coroner. Look I'm as pro LEO as one gets but this didn't look good to me. No struggling asking for help.

The common theme to these stories is that the perpetrator resisted arrest. No one has the right to resist an arrest and bad things happen when it happens. Kneeling on the the perps throat goes against protocol in most departments but if the perp was out of control it is possible the officer was forced to subdue him in that manner. If the perp is talking , he is breathing,  it’s just a fact of life.

Kneeling on someones neck is in the top 5 reasons why I'd become a cop.

If you don't breathe, you're going to die. Dude shouldn't have been holding his breath so long.

It looked like he was plenty subdued regardless of how wildly out of control he had been (if he ever was).

One of the other cops had ample opportunity to hand cuff him before he died.

The kneeling cop should be real popular among the blacks in prison.
