Is golfing during a pandemic okay for Trump ?

There was outrage by Trump when Obama golfed when two people died during the Ebola outbreak but near 100 k r dead from covid and the president hit the courses two straight days

but then again Trump said this of obama and golf

You know, when you’re president, you sorta say, like, ‘I’m gonna give it up for a couple of years, and I’m really gonna focus on the job,’” Trump said. " Trumo has played an avg of 1 in 4 days while president per reports

I figured Trump being the man of god that he is would have been at church praying today after pushing for churches to be open

My personal opinion is golf was ok when Obama played and ok for Trump to play but i notice the hypocrisy shining brightly these days  and the faux outrage is gone

one could argue the dems are full of hypocrisy and point to the accusations vs biden and how they are not willing to believe his accuser and I would agree they are hypocrites as well but my post relates to our golfer and chief

If this is about Trump golfing I'd say its ok.

All.the field hospitals have wrapped up, hospital ships left, I'd say the pandemic is over and a round of golf is OK.

Trump Plays Golf for 1st Time Since the Coronavirus Pandemic
"President Donald Trump played golf Saturday for the first time since he declared the coronavirus pandemic a national emergency more than two months ago."

By DARLENE SUPERVILLE, Associated Press
STERLING, Va. (AP) — President Donald Trump played golf Saturday for the first time since he declared the coronavirus pandemic a national emergency more than two months ago, leading to the shutdown of much of American society. His return to the course was the latest sign that he wants the country back to pre-outbreak times, even as the U.S. death toll from the virus nears 100,000, twice what he once predicted it would be.
Trump also planned Memorial Day visits to Arlington National Cemetery and the Fort McHenry national monument in Baltimore, followed by a trip to Florida's coast on Wednesday to watch to U.S. astronauts blast into orbit.
The golf outing came a day after Trump said houses of worship are “essential” and he demanded that governors allow them to reopen during the holiday weekend. It also followed guidance from Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus task force coordinator, that it was OK for people to be outdoors this weekend as long as they took appropriate safety precautions.
Trump pulled away from the White House on a sunny morning wearing a white polo shirt, white cap and dark slacks. Photographs that appeared later on Twitter showed him swinging a golf club and driving alone in a cart on the course at his private Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.
The White House had no comment on the president's activities at the club, but said he and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had discussed the pandemic's effect on the global economy on Saturday.
The golf trip was the president's first visit to one of his money-making properties since March 8, when he visited his private golf club in West Palm Beach during a weekend at his Florida home. The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a global pandemic on March 11, and Trump followed with the national emergency declaration two days later.
Trump is an avid golfer who has been overheard telling his White House guests how much he missed playing the game.
On Friday, Birx said it's OK for Americans to play golf, tennis or other sports this weekend “if you stay 6 feet (1.8 meters) apart.” She also said the Washington metropolitan area had the highest positivity rate in the country. The capital city’s coronavirus death rate is higher than all but four states: New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The U.S. leads the world with a reported 1.6 million coronavirus cases and more than 96,000 deaths, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
Trump has ordered U.S. flags on federal buildings and national monuments to half-staff through Sunday in memory of Americans lost to COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.
Trump levied frequent criticism of Barack Obama's regular golf outings when he was president.
“Can you believe that with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf. Worse than Carter,” Trump tweeted in October 2014 during the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, comparing Obama to former President Jimmy Carter.

First time playing since declaring a national emergency, not outraged. We all deserve a day out on the course.

For the stink he made about Obama, yes he has played too much golf. I’ll grant him a day on the weekend and some weekday trips here and there. But based on his previous comments about Obama, he should keep those in mind when he goes out to play. Now, his economy is better then Obama’s and less wars, so that should earn a few more rounds.

Trump has 1 hobby. Golf!
He told the world when he was elected he likes to play golf. While playing golf he claims he’s doing business.

Btw, I never cared about Obama playing golf. Him talking sports and picking ****** NCAA brackets on ESPN, bugged the living **** out of me. Because, like his presidency, he was bad at it.

Of course he should.  Golf is a game where you can keep you social distance and if it is a sunny day, the virus is all but dead after a couple of seconds exposure.  Besides, he is taking his hydrochlor so he is immune from any stinking covid 19. :laugh:

Is there anyone on this site who hasn't left their house yet in the past two months?  I've been out fishing on my boat and even went out on a head boat last week.  I'm just waiting for the skeet and trap ranges to reopen so I can start doing that.

Trump was on TV every single day for weeks while the Chinese plague was in full force. Something no other President did.  And triggered liberals complained about it.
Now they are complaining hes taking a break from it all for a round of golf.

If you all can go fishing, why not?

Everyone needs a reset day. He of all people more than most.

I've never seen someone of his age put in such long hours under such scrutiny.
