What is everyone’s favorite type of braid to use on their saltwater fishing reels from the surf? Like what do you feel gets you a longer distance? Thanks

Power-pro has served me well.

Have tried Kast King as a cheaper alternative and it’s not as good as premium braid but for the money it ain’t bad at all.

Plenty of options out there for braid, just stick to a known company that produces it.

sufix 832

jerry brown solid

berkley pro spec

cortland master braid

Daiwa J-braid 8x only.  Have this on all of my reels.  I like the smoothness of this 8 stranded line and knot strength.  Only downside, color fades after a few outings.  But it doesn't affect the line performance.

Made the upgrade to Daiwa J-Braid Grand, and I hated it. I just had too many issues, maybe some which were user error but it really got in my head. Moved over to Power Pro V2 Slick and I couldn’t be happier.
