Informative video...:th:

Anyone know if Randy Jenkins is related to the Jenkins mentioned in the video?

I met Samantha from the ACOE years ago.......she is one knowledgeable gal when it comes to the Canal...... .she did a great job narrating the video.

That's cool, what a process with the bridges.

Always surprising how barren the area was in the old pics and vids.

Bournedale looked like one giant sand dune back then.

Don't think I've seen this before. Transit video of "Belmont's canal"

Bell Rd and the Railroad bridge mainland side were packed with report chasers even back then. :)

Sam is in charge of the east end Visitors center and spends a lot of time along the canal with he recent bunch of joy and had been working for the Army Corp for a long time I am told she also is in charge of the Host Families when they show up[ at least one couple is on site as we post ] I do not believe that Randy is part of this Jenkins Family . I had a ship mate who was a truck driver from Vermont during the Veitnam era whose last name was Jenkins that may have been related if my memory is correct.

Are they still excavating gravel behind the new elementary school? Maybe it'll look like that again before too long. :(
