Kenden surf plug

Rick nice pickup

not sure if bottom of box is correct but who cares you have the box top . This is a great rare box

now the lure , the lure is not correct for the box. You have a masterlure Lure.  Possibly a prototype with writing on it.

Another super lure but yours was fished hard but still a very nice example in a odd color.  Great stuff Rick

no derby tossing .. lol

Had a friend who knew Moe Kenden and had a green light to visit the wholesale only shop on Foster ave in Brooklyn. Went there a number of times(in the 70's), with Sonny, who was a projectionist at a small X rated theater on Kings Highway. It was like a giant candy shop for fisherman. I knew they made tins and cast lures , but never heard of the plugs. Thanks for posting.

Along with a full line of tins. They were my go to lures in the late 50s.

Those lures look very 80's while the card looks older to me. Hopefully someone will have information

Just seeing this.

I collect Kenden wooden baits & have a number of Kenden metal pieces.

The boxes are good to have. Gives the bait a place to rest.

That Masterlure is a proto-type that obviously caught one or two.

Nice find. Here's a pic of some of mine. B
