What was your first wooden plug?

20 posts in this topic

I'll never forget buying mine at Stevens Bait and Tackle, Long Branch NJ.  As a young kid in 2003 shelling out 20 bucks for a wooden plug was crazy but I just had to have it. I Remember it like yesterday. What was your first custom plug?

Boone needlefish my parents bought me when I was probably 12 or 13. I remember hanging it up on a rock as a kid and swimming out to get it because it was my "good plug". I've still got it, stripped it down, repainted white and it still takes a fish from time to time.
