Anyone have any news of scup yet?

I would say a little early especially given the colder than normal temps.

Upper bay spot last 2 hour of light picked up 4 fish. All about 10-12 inches today.

Earlier in in the day guys were hitting fish pretty good during a blitz though

Saturday morning finally found a steady pick of big schoolies 25 to 29 inches all topwater, same spot on Sunday same tide only 1 about 26 inches.

Went today for 6 hours, mid bay, by boat but fish were all within 100 yards of shore.  Water temps are down from last week.  Got a handful of  schoolies 12 to 25 inches and then was shocked to get 3 decent sized bluefish...all 6 lbs in super shallow water in areas where the water temps were a bit higher.

Hit bottom of outgoing out front. Somewhat murky water and lots of weed in between bites, but landed several healthy upper-20" sized schoolies. All on a little zoom fluke w/ jig head - of course I only brought one...

Nice pics, thanks for posting.  Also, nice hook modification on that YoZuri (I think its a YoZuri.)

Yes, its a Yo-Zuri 3DB Pencil. I swapped the stock trebles with VMC 4X single in-line hooks.

Went out last night out front mainly just to christen my new VS, stumbled upon many birds and a few tinkers. Water was a bit murky and seaweed was an issue..would like to go up the bay but assuming most of my preferred spots are all shut off for parking

“Tinkers”? As in tiny bass, or do you mean tinker mackerel?
