Thanks for choosing Black Hole Suzuki 9'6" rod. I am cautiously using the rod on jetties now as I know the rod can handle big striper or blue though the rods are for schoolie striper or albie.

I will be testing mine out for jumbo blues off jetty soon.... feedback to come

Thanks for the photo. I believe the striper is 38". That is a huge striper for such a light rod. The 8' Black Hole Suzuki L rod is designed for schoolie striper or albie. :)

Not a problem!  I was targeting schoolies and hooking into them.  Then this giant came out of no where pulled drag and had my rod fully bent.  This proves not only does this rod perform well, but the fact that there are always monsters lurking within the schools....

Thanks for choosing Black Hole East Coast Special rod.  I did not test the rods much, but it was recommendation by our field testers who love the rods.

I forgot to mention that I cut 6" from the butt.  It's a beautiful casting rod...

i am one of BH's surf field testers, along with Shawn D., this series of rods, are of more moderate side, the 11ft. 2-6, my go to pencil rod, can really launch a topwater plug, with very good distance, and rod easy to pop, i really didn't catch super -big fish with this rod, up to 30lb., also the 10 ft. 3/4-4, is also a rod i use in the Fall Run, in Jersey, Montauk, good rod for lighter lures, 1oz. BT's, 1oz. JH's, SP's, don't let this rod, fool you for light use only, rod got Balls, and Backbone, to land BIGGER fish, the East Coast, 12ft.2-6, is gaining popularity, in places like Mexico, for Rooster Fishing......

How’s it going Ksong can you suggest a good blank for shore fishing for Mahi Mahi up to 35lbs but mainly smaller on a very windy volcanic rock island? Thanks.

9'6" Black Hole Suzuki rod. But don't lift fish. :)

dorado in the picture was caught using 10' Black Hole Suzuki rod. As you fish from the rock, I recommend a little stiff rod.

That is right size fish for which the rod is designed. :)

This was what I have been looking at i have to say your make of rods has caught some seriously big fish they have been well tested especially that 9 foot 6 inch Suzuki for rated weight it definitely punches above its weight and it’s well priced, can you tell me what kind of action it has and it’s sweet spot on casting weight? Plus I am from the UK why don’t you have your rods here I am sure they would do well as anything a bit different we want here we have to get it imported which pushes prices up so such more. Thanks, cheers.

Ermghoti I was hoping someone would say that as I am not a fan of these super fast action rods, there fine for young fit fellas but they knock the crap out of me and most people if they tell the truth, cheers.

I would say the sweat spot for the rod is 1 oz - 2 oz and you can cast 3 oz if you have to.

I am staying in Texas now. Surf/jetty fishing is big thing there. But I met only one angler who use 9'6" Black Hole Striper rod. Mostly use cheap rods.

There are huge potential market for us, but it takes time as they don't know Black Hole USA rods yet. :)  I believe we have dealer in England and one dealer in France made a big order last week.  But it takes time to get to know Black Hole USA rods in Europe.
