Aimpoint on a .44

Last month before  I traded my .45-70 Remlin I took off the Aimpoint.    The Marlin Trapper that replaced the blued one has skinner sights on it so I am leaving it as is.

Today the Ruger rings came in so I mounted the Aimpoint on my Redhawk.    I am interested to see how the Aimpoint holds up to the Rugers recoil.

I don’t think it’s going to hold up very well. Even my pellet gun broke mine

It held up ok on the 45-70 but then again a rifle is a little more forgiving.

I had them on lots of pistols just not the .44 Mag. The .44 used to break all my regular scopes as well.

It was mounted to a Desert Eagle for a short time before I got rid of it.   It held up ok but recoil on the DE wasn't as harsh as the Redhawk.

Was yours an Aimpoint? Or was it a red dot sight from another company?

Aimpoint is a brand

What type of airgun?  Springers eat scopes like Pez.

Yes they do. I have a Benjamin .22 break barrel and I can’t keep a scope dialed in on it.

Well that's the problem.   U need a scope for airguns.  Recoil impulse of a springer is completely different than that of a firearm.
