I know the guy that builds my rods always says that "less guides, more distance." but does using less guides increase the chance of the rod braking ,just curious ?....BTW ,2 guides, perfect.

Oh stop being silly.

Use a hayfork and you wont need any guides, coil the line at your feet, and use the fork to flip it over your shoulder.
