Classics that I rewire and give a fresh coat of epoxy, inside and out. You can even spray paint them before epoxying if the paint is beat or you want a specific color.

You can get Creek Chubs and other classic older used pluggage for cheap at garage sales and flea markets

Very easy, and very worth the time to learn how to do. Start a thread in the lure building forum.

Look at RM smith lures. They are close to that price range and you get a good swimming lure. Some of the cheaper brands I find don’t swim well, nothing like a tight wobble at slower speeds.

Ive always done well with the RM brand. I’m not a fan of the tsunami brand of metal lips, never seemed to swim like I wanted given I was trolling off a kayak.

The jetty swimmer has been my favorite followed by the small two hook Danny. Just slowly crawling it across the surface...just thinking about it gets me excited lol
