I'm changing all of my striper top water lures from treble to single hooks. I'm thinking a 9/0? And what type of single works best on a lure?

I use 5/0 Siwash tail hooks and 5/0 in-line hooks, both VMC...………...

You will drop more fish doing this, its just a fact.  I'm assuming your looking to do less damage to the fish, how about a belly treble with the barbs crushed and a single inline or siwash for the rear.

9/0 sounds big. Big pencils are great with a 6/0 siwash. Trebles seem necessary for swimmers that were designed with them in mind.  A 4/0 siwash is a good size for an SP Minnow. Crushing barbs is a nice thing to do.
