Seems like it could kick off any day now with the weather warming up this week. As soon as the water warms up a few degrees I’ll be back on my daily hunt.

Spent all afternoon fishing the shallows. Not a single hit. I did hear several positive reports from a little ways south.

shore based for spawners?  Seems a few weeks early for that

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re making their way up in to the rivers in the mid bay region. I lost a pretty heavy fish that was definitely bigger than 30”+ at a nearby spot the other day. Could’ve been a resident but with the lack of fish over 15” lately it has me thinking.

I think my daughter and I are going to get some minnows this coming Sunday and try some of the creeks on the Magothy.  I did some trout fishing in the flowing sections of the Patapsco in January and got a few, but its time to switch to some tidal stuff.  Will update after the weekend.
