I was going to do some with the holographic eye on one side and the black paint on the other. Then I would ask each fish, as they came up: Which eye "did it for them"....

go to harberfreit get heat gun and powder paint, they have 4 colors get all and mix your own color,no waiting time it is instant and beter quality.

get 2 lb blue on sale from seling powder by lb and get 2 lb clear.

the clear you can finish or mix with color to make candy paint,

search for jig craft, powder mixing and painting jigs.

there is video on powder painting spoon's,search TJ tuckle powder painting.

:howdy: You might want to take a look at my small old time heads 1.1 and 1.3 I put up in the buy and sell . They can be tied up for tog , fluke and sea bass. Better yet how about coming here for coffee and letting me show you some big jigs that I can not put up here

Jason, have you tried out any of your painted jigs?

I won't really get a chance for awhile.

Working on winter flounder. Will try them for stripers after mid June.

Thank you!

The bait situation that had me thinking of these jigs last season did not materialize this year so I did not get to use any of my jigs until yesterday. I fished with OTW writers Ron Powers and John D. Silva on John's boat off Westport and we found willing sea bass that jumped on my jigs!

The picture is an example of the average sea bass (20 + inches) that we kept....

Heading out with you next Thursday morning, hope to get the opportunity to jig some up.

You posted that "you are headed out with me on Thursday"??

Who are you? I'm pretty sure I do not have you written in for Thursday but I do have room (all of my trips, including "Thursday Open Boat" are by reservation only).

Please email me your name and best phone #, I will send you details....

Thank you!

Yours,

Captain Jason

So Mr Hkr, I hope you were happy with your trip!

Note that the jigging requires the "right people" aboard. I saw right away that one person would be making an issue for everyone so I pulled the plug on the jigging as fast as I could.

POP QUIZ! Who is that masked man?

Jason,

Had a great time, will definitely be doing this again with you!

Black sea bass is now clearly my favorite fish to eat.

BTW, I'll be taking you up on that Tog tutorial later this year.

Thanks again,

Mark
