I can make six of these paddle tails (left) from a body and jighead for $15 and they'll catch just as well as the jig being discussed.

The hook is the most important thing. I have seen too many bent jig hooks at the canal.

You might be right and we all know the Canal can eat jigs all day long:)

The company is Fish Lab, seems they're developing a whole line of products to try and capitalize on the recent canal boom.
