I saw those the other day, the hot colors for mr17 and 18s never seems to be anything that looks like a bait fish. More about shade in the water that the fish sees than how it looks to us is my belief. Mirrolures have a cult following around me, cheaper than the Yozuri and already proven to work.

I love mirrolures, it's my best performing lure by far but their size selection are quite limited. It's pretty much 3/8, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 oz.

I fish certain situations where I need a crawling retrieve but the 52s sink to fast, going to give the 51s a shot. I do agree about sizes, they are primarily geared towards inshore fishing.

When visiting friends in Virginia Beach last summer I tossed a half ounce mirrolure early morning and got on a a few trout to my surprise. Very tough if there's too much wind or chop, but definitely usable
