Mike just called me from the hospital.

Seems he had a "spontaneous pnuemo-thorax" (sp?)

One of his lungs collapsed.

Thank goodness he was at the office and not out in the field.

He's okay, and happy with the percosets cwm12.gif But just now got into a room since this morning.

The chest tube is "A B!*$% tho" he says.

He's waitin on a specialist, and I'm sure a bit scared.

So how's about some good thoughts for a good guy?

Anyone closeby to us want more info, PM me.

I've got his room number and such.

I hafta go out for an hour now, but I'll be back.

yea timmy...

i've had four of em!!!! eek.gifeek.gifeek.gif and i only started with two lungs!!

chest tubes DO suck.

send good thoughts to mikey from me when he calls again and tell him i've been there... and man oh man do i feel for him. it freaking HURTS!!!!

the good news is that generally in a few days with the chest tube, the lung reinflates and he's healthy enough that it should stay up and he'll be fine.

Mike,

Thinking good thoughts and sending prayers your way!!

I know it feels really awful, but this is a common injury and you will get great care I'm sure.

When you are better, we'll have to have an SOL toast party for ya! smile.gif

Hi All

I'm sure he will appreciate the kinds thoughts and words you are all expressing when he gets home in a couple days. He said that the chest tube did hurt, but that he immediately felt his lung inflate and took a nice deep breath. They want to keep an eye on him for a day or so to make sure it heals up ok. Thanks

Mike Sr
