for some reason im a magnet. grocery store, kids games, etc

 

talked to some old dude at a basketball game last night for like an hour. got his whole life story. 

 

people avoid or approach you?

I get approached a lot as well.  Small talk is not my favorite thing, but I've learned not to be rude.  Airplanes are the worst, just leave me alone and let me read.

one time i had a woman talk to me the whole way from St Louis to Newark...she had tmj and was telling me she couldn't blow her boyfriend. talk about weird.

i look at the old guys conversation as an obligation. in a good way...even when they eventually stop talking, i'll throw a little comment that gets them going again.

Most of the time, I don't care but the clingers are a problem. 

it can be super annoying, but id say the good outweighs the bad, slightly.
