"The wall, is it a total waste of our tax dollars?"

Yes.

It is also a BS campaign slogan that fell flat.

Ohhh   Ahhh   Mother Should I build a Wall......

Well, it's a failure or success according to what you expect it to do. It won't ****** the flow of drugs one iota, and it won't reduce crime either. It should have some significance in controlling illegal immigration, if it's properly policed once it's complete.

So they come up with the cash to fly one drone, with one person over the wall.

We get them when they land, impound the drone, and deport the person.

Yep, sounds like one hell of a plane.

Of course, it's only a matter of time till bible thumping gun toting rednecks start using them for target practice, but hey, that's when the real fun begins.

Agreed.  And it has already proven to force people into areas easier to cross.  Put up a wall and police it and you at least force the movement into the holes that will keep popping up. But it will stem the tide.

Now, making people afraid to cross the border will really slow things down.

Yeah.  Cause illegal aliens have passenger drone money.  Think McFly.

The going rate to pay a smuggler is $6,000, every car company in the world is working on electric drones, in 5-10 years they will be less than your average scooter.

J, CBP's the agency that searches material coming in from South America. Most of our national appetite for cocaine, etc., is satisfied by drugs coming over the border in manufactured goods; car parts, avocados, etc. The most common estimate is that we catch 10% of what comes in.

The wall is irrelevant to the biggest routes of importation. Drugs come in via submarine, by airplane - you name it.

I see the Spanish Navy recently caught the first semisubmersible to be detected in their waters, coming in from Morocco. That's a growth industry.
