Last week I had to visit the pub as I ordered some stuff from the local distillery and since I
passed the stream anyway I figured some fishing might be in order.
After that record dry summer we had this year fall and the start of winter had been wet.

While this was very welcome to get the groundwater table back up it was not so good for fishing.
The stream had a coffee color and pushed a lot of water.
Still I tried my luck and fished in the calmer water hoping for some bites, it actually worked so
I did not have to end my day fishless.
Off course the usual pub visit was in order, now already outfitted with Christmas decorations.

The following day I had not that much time for fishing and since the river was out of bounds due
to the flooding I tried one of the ponds in my hometown.
It was storming and raining during the day so I choose to fish in the so called golden hour near

sunset.
I was hoping to see activity of shiners and maybe some hunting pike or perch but I did not
get any bites despite locating the shiners.
