How was he to know gambling by NFL players was illegal?

Do you expect him to read and heed all the signs posted about every stadium locker room telling him so?

Come on man.

Dumb and Football player is a bit redundant

lets be honest, the average NFL player is smarter than the average Hispanic.

maybe not by a ton, but certainly by a little.

(a ton is a measurement of weight, by the way)

Shaw also made up a whacked story when he was at USC after he jumped off a balcony during a fight with his woman and wrecked both his ankles (cops were enroute).

He told his coaches he jumped to save his nephew who was drowning in the pool.

No genius this one.
