I’d take a walk on the fishing pier and beach and take a look at what the locals are using. Not sure if your beaches are closed for fishing during the swimming time so you might have to fish piers or find a No lifeguard beach. You need a fishing license for the beach but it’s free if your a resident. Gear wise is what are you going to target? Congrats on your move and enjoy. Two many fish to catch and almost all of them are good eats. Good luck and have fun,O ya it takes awhile for the locals to become friendly at least on the Naples pier.

I live right down hwy 98 a few miles. Jettys and bridges are producing good fish right now. Whiting and pomps in the surf. Feel free PM me with any questions on specifics.
