Should I Hook Up My Old Hi-Fi

Found my dad's old 60's tube gear when cleaning out my parents house.  Brought back many memories of my twisted youth in the 70's.  Brought it home and re-capped the receiver and the speakers.  God I love the sound of that system.

I was at a junk shop a month or so ago, and they had a massive trove of 1970s Playboys for sale. Cheap. I passed, because I got no place to put them.

But I could go back and get them for your den. Shag carpet, hi-fi, skin mags... all you'd need is Bill Cosby and a giant bottle of Quaaludes to complete the 1970s Throwback vibe. :th:

I'd probably have to start dressing differently too, no?

that probably came across as very insulting to your grandfather,

I just mean he looked old enough to be your Grandpa.

My parents were born in the early 30s and are both dead.  So really you're insulting my grandfather's corpse.

Hook it up. I have a rack system from the early 80's (Kenwood receiver ,BSR equalizer,Kenwood amp,Yamaha CD player that I added later, B&O turntable and Yamaha AS-77 speakers. I set it up in my shop and even at low volume I can peel the paint off the neighbors siding with a Led Zep CD 50 yards away. I still like the sound of the old stuff like mine.

My grandfather was born in 1893. He was a World War I vet.

I'm the tail end of my generation, and I've always seemed way older than I really am. I looked 13 when I was a fetus. :th:

I'm the tail end of my generation,

what sort of dumbass logic is that?

what generation?

how does you being born at the end of a generation translate to you having the worn out body of a retiree?
