It was an interesting year to say the least. Spring was decent for me with the Blue bite but weak on the Striper end. Back Bay Fluking was real hot for me and had some great days. Unfortunately was in between buying boats so lost mid July-September. Finally purchased my first boat the beginning of September and every day I was off it was blowing and couldn't take it out front. Finally got out end of October and few days in November had some amazing day working birds out front. Had plenty of smiling faces and big fish come over the side. Was extremely happy with the Fall boat run I had. Very excited to see what next year will hold along hopefully a lot of wreck fishing once I introduce a trolling motor to my arsenal.

Well, didn't fish a ton over the Summer (house projects).  Spring, had a good amount of schoolies, didn't get in on the squid bite.  Summer, a few boat trips (don't count) for fluke, seabass), Fall, a decent amount of albies, some real NE monsters, which was okay for a lean albie year.  Bonito, and ridiculous numbers of spanish macs.  Decent bass and blues for not targeting them.

I fished considerably less this year than previous years but still managed to be happy with the way the year went. Spring was probably a little below average for bass, but summer was lights out for jigging tuna followed by a fantastic early fall with big bass.   Time to tinker with some gear, send some reels in for service and maybe get a Quick trip or two to Florida to find some snook and peacocks.

Overall pretty good. The spring run was better for me than the fall but I also didn't have as much time to make as many outings. Striper fishing was ok but not great for me as a shore-bound angler. Decent year for blues. Fluke was a little rough this year with many shorts. I only got a couple shots at the Albies but other people seem to have done pretty well. This year coming I hope to explore some other fisheries. I'd like to get on a good redfish bite  down in the coastal carolinas etc that would be cool.

I use to post on norEast and other sites but between that and keeping logs of my own , I decided keeping logs was more important. Looking back the last couple of years have been consistent with pretty bad fishing for me. The keeper  ratio went down even more.

spring-roughly 35 fish (2keepers)

summer-roughly 20 fish (zero keepers)

fall roughly 40 fish (zero keepers)

This is probably one of the worst years for me . 5-10 keepers a year is average .This year only 2 keepers.

happy holidays everyone
