Central NJ traffic headed W & SW late afternoon on a Friday

Barring catastrophe, I’ll finally get a stab at the “Fall run” tomorrow 10am-departure in the afternoon. Hitting somewhere TBD probably in Monmouth as I’ve never fished the surf above Squan inlet. Bucket list sorta, though pales in comparison to the CCC.

Heading home westbound & southbound towards PA tpike from a Shore point between 2:30 & 4 at the latest.

How bad is the traffic Fridays around that time heading that direction?

1:40 with regular traffic I think, so anyone have experience with how much extra time I should allow?

Thanks!!

If your taking 195 it’s usually pretty good til you get into Trenton.  It’ll back up a little bit but not that bad.

Open google map before leaving the beach. If it says 3:40, that means you got 2+ hour of fishing time. Just pretend you are sitting in traffic, except on a beach, catching a few. :th:
