No surf rods this year. 3 flyrods and a couple of repair jobs. First up is a Sage X, 9’6” 6wt. It will be used both fresh and salt. Titanium seat and cork grip.

Next will be two cts flyrods courtesy of HL. A 10’ 4wt and 9’ 8wt.

Starting early this year Drew. Look forward to seeing these at some point, have fun building. PLanning to come up to Mike's again, I'll let you know. I just finished a wrap on a St Croix FW rod I'm going to use when I go up to St Croix in August

Very nice, as usual.

I'm on the dl at this point. My fall ended a few weeks ago.

I'm up for something at Mike's. I probably should get to another gathering as well.

You use one of those crafty cutters?

I'm not sure what you're talking about here, so I guess no is the answer.

How did you do the cutout in the cork for the real seat?

IT's amazing what you can do when you don't suck

I'm proof that it's sometimes amazing what you can do even when you DO suck! :D

I went through my rack o' blanks last night. I have enough that I'm embarrassed by the number. I'm going to try to get a bunch of them cranked out of the winter to thin the herd.

Grip is on and mostly done. It’s pretty comfortable in my hand. I might want a little ‘better’ but sometimes I tend to try for better and then go too far. So will probably leave it as is, fish it a bit and then decide. I’m hoping to get it done tomorrow and maybe use it Tuesday.

Looks good Drew. Getting those shapes consitant isn't easy...what is easy is screwing them up tinkering to getting them to be perfect. AS long as it's comfy leave it alone.
