DeepBlue
Has anyone fished this and can comment on its characteristics? ReelSharp
scoobydoo
My cousin bout the 11' second hand. Paired with a Vr...loves the setup...It's essentially his only setup and loves how versatile it is. LockedDrag
Fishes like a GSB but a tad faster action and heavier.

The 11' 3/4- 4oz I'm assuming would be in the ball park of a 1321L ? Edited November 10, 2019 by DeepBlue85
MikedNJ
I have the 10ft 1-5 with single foot guides so not as tip heavy. I also have a 1321m and the lamiglas is way softer tip than my 105. I like fishing my ODM rod though. Has silly amount of power and throws it’s rating very very well. I would say so but personally I don’t feel as confident in the ODM as I do the GSB in terms of power cuz of the weight of the ODM. Then again, I’m a smaller guy. 5’

I’m not one to care much about things like that. Just go by the feel of how a rod feels in my hand

I have that rod, in my hands it maxs out around 3oz, maybe a hair more. DeepBlue 1 ASMFC - Destroying public resources and fisheries one stock at a time since 1942. Talk to me about it, durability, castability, recovery overall feel...is it worth the money or am I better off sticking with the trusty old L? Fergal
I don't like lami - it's like casting a wet noodle, the rod just starts to recover as you're about to make your next cast. I like it, but it doesn't see much use, I like my vt's better. As far as everything you asked about you need to try one yourself and see how it feels in your hands. DeepBlue
Anyone comment on their actual durability? And would you consider the in par with a gsb? Edited November 11, 2019 by DeepBlue85

Lord Helmet
I have 11ft 3-8 extended 3 inches. It’s mainly a jigging rod but the tip is soft enough to work a pencil. I put it through the paces this fall on a few nor’easters that’s rolled into montauk. Rod is lightweight and a pleasure throw. I don’t see this rod having a durability issue for me, but everyone fishes differently. DeepBlue
