For those of you who lived through Bloomber’s public service, what were the realities of his policies? I need to be informed when primary time comes.

He was a good, non grandstanding public servant. Got on with the job of running New York City, kept it on an even keel and left it in excellent shape, unlike DeBlasio who is fast managing to run the NYC into the ground and deep into a pit of debt.

side note,

I think open primaries pervert the system.

hardcore Republicans have no business voting in a democrat primary,

Democrats have no business voting in a Republican primary........

Huh? They can’t in my state.

Fiscally conservative compared to socialist-light candidates?

He maintained Rudy's law and order but slowly tried to regulate the City.  I would classify him as typical northeast moderate democrat.

Fiscal conservative centrist. Bit of a nanny, but tolerable.

Too much of a social engineer.  Sharp minded and a thinker.  No BS.

As mayor he did a nearly daily interview on the radio answering questions.  I used to listen to it .. I was driving alot then.

I personally listened to him as a self improvement exercise.  He is a very prepared speaker and knows exactly what he is going to say and how to deliver it.  His communication skills are way more advanced than your average voter and most politicians, however I cant say that will translate in to votes now that we entered our idiocracy stage in america.

Fiscally I would say he is a moderate dem.

No idea about his positions in foreign policy

If it wasn't for the anti gun and nanny state banning crap he wouldnt be so bad. He was good fiscally, kept the city clean, was tough on crime and had the back of the NYPD.

Im curious to see how his past support for law enforcement plays out with the libbs. If he'll throw that out the window and now call law enforcement racist like Biden did to pander to the radicals.

One further highly important point, his net worth means he is unlikely to be bought by those who would attempt to influence the direction of this country.

He understands the common folk are not fit to make decisions about food, or, guns,he is willing to make those decisions for them, for their own good.
