Don't pretend the impeachment effort didn't start the day after the election.. it makes you look silly

LOL

Pelosi was pretty clear she didn't want it,

But Trump's corruption made it impossible to ignore.

this isn't a manufactured scandal over a stain on a dress,

this is Trump once again trying to illicit a foreign nation help him win an election.

Ironically it's the same foreign nation that interfered in the 2016 election on Hillary's behalf

Why would they move on to a trial without completing an investigation. That makes no sense.

How many failed investigations should they conduct?

They will keep investigating for the next 5 years.

It's the easiest way to control the narrative.

I don't believe the Democrats want a trial beyond the trial in the court of public opinion.

More and more voters are seeing thru the smoke screen.

much like Hillary's emails this is a garbage accusation and there is more to be gained in making claims, then in having an actual investigation.... which will clear him.

as it cleared Hillary,

Hillary's emails....garbage accusation?  Really?

And was Hillary cleared?  I thought they just decided to not pursue prosecution.  Not cleared.

I'm sure you whined about all the Republican investigations during the Obama administration. Oh...wait...my bad. You never did.

Meanwhile, The Ukraine matter is only a couple months old and there's still a lot of information to come to light.

LG went on record last night in response to the emails Solomon procured - he stated the investigation needed to start in the State Department to collect evidence before bringing the Biden's in for depositions.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told CBS News that he won’t be reading the transcripts House impeachment investigators released Tuesday, even though a witness revised his testimony to indicate that a quid pro quo deal was pushed on Ukraine. When asked if he planned on reading the testimony of U.S. Ambassador to the E.U. Gordon Sondland and former special envoy Kurt Volker on Tuesday, he said he would not. “I’ve written the whole process off... I think this is a bunch of B.S.,” Graham, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) is calling for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to probe ties between the Bidens and Ukraine, including calling State Department officials.

"We need to look at whether or not Hunter Biden corruptly engaged in lobbying. Did Joe Biden ask the prosecutor to be fired because he was investigating his son?" Graham asked during an interview on Monday with Fox News's Laura Ingraham.

He added that he hoped Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jim Risch (R-Idaho) "will open up an investigation about the role of the State Department in all this."

I submit that exposing the current Democrat front running candidate for President for using his prior VP position for personal and family enrichment is to the benefit of the nation.

Do you think otherwise?

If there is something there sure.

The investigation does indeed also have a personal benefit to the POTUS, so to hide behind rooting out corruption is a bit disingenuous.  By now we know how this guy operates-What benefits the Donald wins out.  If it happens to benefit some other aspect of the country, that is gravy.

But more importantly, you do not withhold military funds/equipment appropriated by the Congress to help an ally in a geopolitically important part of the world to get someone else to do it.  You do not attach a demand to getting something that is promised after the fact.

And you do not send your addled personal lawyer to run some sort of shadow diplomatic policy.
