Silly.

For years it was "wait till some rich lawyer from NY gets bit"

Then it was "wait till there's a death".

And my personal favorite; "I can't wait until there's a fatality!"

welp, guess what? It done happened, and you all were wrong.

The more studies they do, the more obvious it is becoming, there is no science, no political will and no public support for killing seals to satisfy fishermen.

Those people all ignored California’s white shark issue. People have been killed by whites there for a long time and nothing was done about the sea lions they eat.  A lot of people consider seals the puppy dogs of the ocean. Forget about wiping them all out. People just don’t have the stomach for it.

I'm sure the fish farms would gladly take the seal pellets  if they work for the farmed fish.

im sure the aquariums could chunk them up for shark and whale foods..problem solved

Massachusetts is one of the most liberal states in the country. We don’t have the stomach to kill anything cute.

Great idea, another deep thinker!

Given how aquariums are scrambling to rebrand themselves as marine mammal rescue organisations, it makes perfect sense to feed seal meat to captive animals.

In fact, to save time, after they rescue the seals, just toss those bad boys in with the killer whales!

The public loves aquariums with captive whales, slaughtering seals to feed them would really pack em in. :)

Use google man, there is no market.

The Chinese won't eat it.

The Japanese harvest their own but it's a tiny novelty market.

Canadian indigenous that harvest seal fur won't even eat it.

Meanwhile, it's banned in US, EU, even friggin Russia and Ukraine!

What market are you dreaming of?

I get it.

Golf courses, like beaches, should not be impacted by nature.

They're called sharks.

Those people who watch those nature shows definitely don't want to see seals ripped apart in a swimming pool.

They want to rent a beach house in Truro and spend $$$$ on looking at seals and sharks.
