Never hunted them but I did sleep in an Holiday Inn. Most pigs killed are on the smaller side, under 150 lbs. Some do get to be quite large, upwards to 400 lbs or more. If I was hunting them I would just use my deer rifle chambered in 30/06 with a 180 grain RN, the same bullet I use for deer. It's overkill but they get dead deader, quicker too. For sure will ruin a pigs day.:eek:

It’s not overkill because they are 10 times tougher than a deer.

Guys in Texas were using .300 Blackout for a bit, but the rounds were bouncing off their skulls, lol. 

.308 is the way to go if you can. Everyone I know pretty much has an AR10.
