Pulled the chub trap, usually check to throw back any other species.....the occasional baby fluke, sticklebacks, needlefish ect.  Didn’t notice this guy until The next day when I went to feed them.  Any ideas ?

Look like a killie to me, as a kid would catch them with a glass milk bottle tied to a string, bread or crushed mussels inside the bottle great fluke bait.

There's banded and striped killies.  I dont think that is either one.

We caught a juvenile sheepshead a couple tmes and its banding was much more regular and neater than that.

Could be white perch.

Bottom line, I dont know.

I agree that crushed mussels are great bait for killies!

PS: I'm still looking for a picture like yours!
