Alumilite uv clear coat

Thinking of giving Alumilite uv a try, instead of epoxy, love the quick dry time.

Does anyone have any experience using it, your pro's and con's.

A couple of questions I would like to know, do you hang and spin them

horizontally or vertically, and how do you handle keeping liquid out of the holes.

Thanks

No experience with Alumilite clear, but I've used lots of their other products.

I assemble my plugs before I clearcoat, so I just use short pieces of drinking straw to keep the epoxy (etex) out of the swivel holes. I use a spinner to keep them moving so the finish has time to cure without dripping.

I ended up buying a different brand anyway, are you happy with the result from this type of resin, compared to epoxy ( if you've clear coated with epoxy ). I'll be building my UV box this weekend, going to spin them too.

What is the cure time with this stuff? I thought the UV stuff cured when the light hit it?

Glad to hear that you're going to spin, IMHO that's the best way to get that smooth even finish that makes a custom plug look so good, at least, for a hobby builder.

I'd love to have a hard durable finish that was practical to spray at home, but I haven't seen one yet.
