crazy stuff, key witness was killed

Dallas police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man who testified in the murder trial of a former police officer convicted last week of killing a neighbor after confusing his apartment with her own.

Joshua Brown lived near Botham Jean, who was killed in September 2018 by then-officer Amber Guyger after she mistook him for an intruder. Brown testified that he heard Guyger and Jean's voices in the moments before the fatal shots rang out, but did not hear Guyger issue any warning commands.

Brown himself became a murder victim days later. Police said several witnesses flagged officers down Friday night, directing them to the parking lot where Brown was lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Depending on how critical his testimony was to the conviction, I wonder if she’ll now appeal.

He already gave sworn testimony in court. Her friends were late. :wag:
