....and why?  I didn't think it was going to happen this quickly and I'm sure she still has some good hunts in her but it's time to start thinking. I would have gotten a lab but the duck hunting is so bad up here now that it's not even worth it. Come to think of it the bird hunting sucks too. Maybe a lab that hunts Upland as well is the answer.

GSP, best dogs ever. Smart, easy to train, short hair, great upland hunters, decent retrievers, great family dog, good looking, few health problems.

Get one of those new designer dogs that's a cross between a boxer and a shihtsu.

It's called a sh*tbox.

If I wanted a field dog, I'd get a Galgo Español, a spanish greyhound. They are incredible dogs, especially hunting.

Pricey, hard to find, but the best dog I ever had (And I've had a lot)

Versatile hunter, wet retrieve, upland, tons of point, close hunter, non-shedding, hypo allergenic (allergic people can have this dog), and the sweetest most obedient dog breed you'll ever ask for.

Wire haired Pointing griffon

This was Boomer, still miss this dog every day

Tons in shelters to prove what great dogs they are.

Speaking of shelters, I would go to the local one and see what they have.

Ya never know.
