Well it seems that, at least in Eastern CT, some larger linesiders are passing through on their way to the Empire State. I’ve made the acquaintance of a few. They seemed especially hungry for our smorgasbord.  Glad we could oblige.

Rock(fish) on, Garth.

Given the way this season has been the girls will probably slide over to the north shore of the island as they come west.

But I'm ready (and willing) if they stay on the CT side.   :D

everybody is waiting for some fish to come thru.....  albies are all but a bust this year;  bloofish are 3 pounds, and bass are even smaller.

something's gotta give

I fished (SE CT) from 330 am to 730 this morning after the temps plummeted and only got one look from a bass/blue. I thought things would turn on for sure but it may have been the opposite effect.

Found some bonito after so I still brought dinner home

I found 4 fish kayaking 1.5 miles up a river Friday night, 15-25". Saturday night I waded to the sure thing river mouth spot, a guy walking out said 'plenty of fish', then, between me and a friend, I caught 2 fish, 12" and 21". Sunday night, I stood on the bank 2.5 miles up a river, and bounced a tiny jig around for 6 fish 12"-27". I almost caught a keeper in 8hrs of fishing.

It’s been a slow pick. Haven’t cracked the mid/upper 30” range yet which is a bit disappointing. Still plenty of time left. Expecting better soon.
