Need inexpensive fillet knife recommendation

Have a trip at the beach in a few weeks and need a fillet knife. Looking for something under fifty bucks ( significantly under is ok!)that will work well for fish 24in and under.

You can not go wrong with Bubba or Rapala.

Agree with the Rapala’s, great little knife. Had one for years, and holds an edge real well. Comes with a nice little leather sheath too, which helps to protect the blade.

Kershaw 1257 7” for less than $20.  9” for larger fish.  Been using them for more than 20 years.  Holds edge better than rapalas I’ve had.

How important is rust resistance ?  

Dexter high carbon filet knives are some  of the easiest to get shaving sharp with just a pull through sharpener.  But if you don't dry clean and dry them after use they will rust very quickly.   

((Party boat mates use em until there's like an eighth of  an inch of blade left.))
