Albies in the dark?

I have not seen anybody say that they have caught Albies in the dark. I do not want to tie up a rod with an Epoxy Jig while in my kayak or surfcasting if they are not nocturnal.

If Blue Fin Tuna can be caught at night I am sure Albacore can too.

Not sure what would be the best tactics or how viable targeting albis at night would be, but I had a buddy nail one on a rigged eel off a Jetty one night.

I would swim a crystal minnow, daiwa SP etc. Even rubber swim baits. Buck-tails with curley tail.  Albies love squid.

I think they catch them in the canyons at night on jigs.....big ones too.

Mostly as a by catch though.

As thick as they are right now and as reckless as they are biting, fishing at night might be a bit more challenging than shooting fish in a barrel like it has been the last few days.
