John Bolton won’t be getting a WH Christmas card this year

Fired by Trump in no uncertain terms. Irreconcilable differences cited. The details will be interesting when people start talking.

Questions:

Is this a bet positive for Trump’s foreign policy?

Has Bolton been too hawkish?

What changes can be expected going forward?

Who will replace Bolton?

Neo-con: invade the world, invite the world

What changes can be expected going forward?

No more neo-cons. No more John Kerry dhimmidicksucking diplomacy.

Robust military modernization effort.

Who will replace Bolton?

expect him to reach across the aisle to an old-school anti-war Democrat as a zinger

was he fired or did he resign....

you guys flip flop on this issue a LOT......

IMHO when you are told you are expected to submit your resignation, you have been fired,

you republicans have argued this point with me over a few of Trump's terminations.

I would think this news makes you giddy regardless of how it went down.

he shouldn't have gotten the gig to begin with,

the quality of some of the "best people" seems to be on the decline........

The President doesn't like disagreement from anyone on anything. He also gets annoyed if he sees a subordinate soaking up publicity.  I'm not sure if this firing reflects much more than that.

The NYT this a.m. states that Bolton is uncomfortable with the President's relationship with Kim Jong Un, considers Kim's accelerating missile tests to be unacceptable, and finds the President to be naive in his belief that his personal relationship with Kim matters.  The President is said to be wary of Bolton's appetite for high-risk military confrontations, and has joked that if Bolton had his way, we'd have four new wars.  Both these things could be true.

he was a terrible hire as were the majority of trump's picks-trump thinks only his opinion matters-he  wants to be king and not defer to anybody on any issues-he "knows more" than anybody on any subject. He ran on some great ideas-has  done some great things -his staffing has been awful he is a terrible judge of talent or simply wont listen to those that  know more then he does.
