Some jigs and buck tails have rattles. Anyone find they improve bites for fluke? They def can work to wake a sluggish bite for bass and stripers ... sometimes.

A bunch of us have been experimenting with 'Clackers and Rattles' when fishing for Halibut and Flounder along the Jetty and Shelf drops... so far we are seeing some significant show from them. However, as I said, we are experimenting.

I don't know for Fluke, but a guy in Texas has a chatterweight on a  dropshot along with a Gulp for Trout, and many times the trout hit the weight, not the Gulp. I would say give it a shot.

if you watch some of the nature shows on tv, you'll notice that shrimp and other small creatures make noises down there, and the noises sound very much like what the rattles sound like.  I've used them and can attest that they do not hurt, but are they better?  Who knows, only the fish I guess, and they aren't talking!!!!!
