Hey kaz, maybe the guy just can't avoid getting himself into crap. Ever consider that possibility?

What crap?

Anyone recall all the reportage regarding The Obama Recession back in 2016?

I wonder why the media started focusing on the economy and a possible recession. It’s not like there’s anything of note happening.

Because all their other fake narratives have run out of steam.

At least with this narrative it is possible and quite likely that we will have a recession sooner than later.

I’m not rooting for a recession, because I have no confidence that Trump can lead us out of it. It’s not like you can just declare bankruptcy when you run into financial trouble as President.

Trump does not lead.

The Fed and the Treasury will lead us out of it and in the process dig the hole even deeper.

and of course Trump will claim he did it.

Are you not aware that the yield curve recently inverted?

Fresh meat for rabid dogs.

But it is a valid concern.

Are you not aware that the left has been predicting/hoping for economic failure since day one of the Trump administration?

Was that because Trump?

Hey, if you are gonna take credit continually with the good, you need to own the bad.

It's his economy now.

How about we take two steps back and reread the OP? How about commenting on the pattern of the constantly changing anti-Trump narrative? As one "we are gonna get him now" narrative implodes or dies, the next one is rolled out.

The topic here was not necessarily the state of the economy, but how the drive-by opposition keeps rolling along.

The problem for the Trump haters is timing. Of the last three recessions that were not The Great Recession, their lengths were 8, 8 and 6 months long. There is no reason that has to hold going forward, but if past is prologue, any recession beginning now will be over right in the middle of the general election campaign, over by the end of 3q2020.

Hey, no problem, just as long as certain liberals here and everywhere don’t continue to claim that Obama is responsible for the economy since early 2017.

A lot of what ifs in there. If we have a recession, when it starts, how long it lasts, how it hard it hits, etc. Nobody knows anything at this point, and everybody is guessing, Trump haters and Trumpophiles both.

As for your complaint about the perceived pattern of the constantly changing anti-Trump narrative, I think it's much ado about nothing. Of course the complaints and narrative are going to change over time. That's just the way this stuff works, especially with a guy who generates drama the way he does.
