Cool, I'll look these up.

What colors do you use in these. Hot pink? Pink seems to be a popular lure color. What about the Pearl (orange head) or the Charteruce Glow (the color pictured above)?

Thanks!

JD

Depends on the albies. Glow and pink are always good choices.

Caught a mackerel on one today, second cast, high tide inlet.

No more for a while so went fluking.

Casted nice on the 2oz Tica!

They definitely work but I prefer the Gomoku jigs (no bend) which are also made by Williamson.

No clue yet really Yogi.

My bad but just cast and retreived it. Guess I need to pull it though some shallows to see.

Assume it wiggles a bit!

I know the snappers loved it this evening. Wouldn't touch the Joe Baggs 1oz in green.

I went with the gomoku variety, looking to compare it to some other similar jigs tomorrow. This has more of a diamond jig shape than an epoxy, similar to the sand eel jig that hogy makes (see picture)

Compared to the epoxy, I honestly don't think I will get the same effect across the surface with a slow retrieve, but it has to swim better than that hogy sand eel jig. Those things are no bueno.

The quality seems very good. Certainly has nice depth to the color and flash. I'll know for sure tomorrow if they are winners

Yes, thank you for sharing.

We'd love to know how they perform and how you do with them please.

Track down the 20 gram Gomoku ... it’s worth the effort. The Olive and the Pink are the best colors ...

Yes but...

Sometimes everything works.

Most of the time some things work better.

Some of the time only some things wok.

Sometimes nothing works.

True that! That’s why one needs a box full of this s@#$....

I guess that’s why it’s called fishing and not just catching.... :wee:

Caught a whole bunch of mackerel and snapper blues working bait for almost an hour straight and I have to say I was impressed. I fished these same mackerel pods with epoxies prior and it seemed the fish were more aggressive to the gomoku.

It swims with a nice wobble but doesn't skip along as well as an epoxy jig would. However, swimming the lure quickly through pretty good chop in and out of waves was the best way I found to work it; the mackerel were willing to jump out the side of a wave to get the jig once they focused on it.

Easily 2:1 catching mackerel, about the same on snappers.
