Bay or beach?

I've never seen a hatch but hear it can be frustrating.

Out back. Frustrating isn’t even the word. Literally fish at my feet.

I have found that a small popper w no hooks w

2 ft leader to a pink streamer will work at times.

Think casting egg,but I don't own any. Sometimes

nothing will work it seems. I agree, frustrating.

I may have to go get a casting egg and try again tonight.  Almost tempted to break out the freshwater gear and throw senkos

Flyfishermen often have the advantage with worm hatches. Sometimes a very small (baby-sized?) red or pink sluggo rigged unweighted or on a casting egg works.

Last two days water conditions have been really nice with the ENE wind.  Water is warmer and seeing a little more small bait moving around in the wash.  Picked up two yesterday and two more this morning.  All smaller fish right now in that 20 inch range.  Had another one jump out of the water trying to attack the surface walker.  Three were picked using a small soft plastic sand eel and the other on bugs.  More and more salps being pushed to the beach.  Wonder if the stripes feed on them too?  Back out Monday morning.
