· #1 Posted July 31, 2019 I found an old salt that is blowing out his collection of plugs. I'm not much of a collector but this seems reasonable. He wants $250 for 36 plugs. Does anyone see anything particularly worthwhile here? 0 Go to top

I asked if he had any by Gibbs, Musso, Beachmaster, or Pichney. He has no idea, so I'm going to take the gamble. 0 Go to top

Not really a gamble unless you are planning to resell them - for $7/plug the cool, old plug factor alone makes it worth it TimS 0 Go to top
· #5 Posted July 31, 2019 There have to be a few goodies in there The rest can be resealed, fresh hooks, and fished - you're good for plugs for years 0 Go to top

I usually fish bucktails, soft plastics, and sp minnows. 0 Go to top

Muskies were mentioned and although they could be used for muskies, in my opinion, buy the selection of other lures there, I would say that this fisherman was definitely targeting strippers. There are even a few salmon plugs . 0 Go to top
· #10 Posted August 1, 2019 (edited) OK, so I ended up purchasing the lot. On the other side of the room are a bunch of freshwater lures. I may go back and buy those too. We have quite a few classic Creek Chubs with glass eyes and they do look quite old. I'm going to try and get rid of those as I'm not a collector and see if I can break even on the purchase. Also found two Lucky Strike, a Heddon, and two masterluhrs. Don't know much about those or their value. · #14 Posted August 2, 2019 Should I buy up the freshwater lot as well? Are those worth anything? 0 Go to top
