Come on guys it's Tuna Season. Lets see some reports and pictures. I'm hoping to get out into the deep in the next week or so. Hit the Bluefin grounds two weeks ago caught some of the biggest gators I've ever seen. Trolled for about 2 hours and my buddy's Blackfin threw a water pump belt. (Disintegrated) Had to limp back into Manasquan on one diesel took us about 6 1/2 hours to go 43 miles.

I agree...would be nice to fish vicariously through some of the guys that are out there...I've had a couple offers but haven't made it offshore yet this year :squid:

Here ya go ,sorry no tuna but some big red snapper from a trip i did this past weekend in Georgia. Fished 3 days and ran as far as 60 miles offshore. Largest snapper was 25 lbs,a 30 lb king, and some nice cobia.lets just say we were catching and wasn't much time for pictures while we were on the boat

Left last night at 1am, pulled into the Lindy and set up right at 5am.  Lifeless, blah water, only 3 others boats (1 of which was buddy boat), boated 1 rat yellow, and found 1 decent Mahi over 6 pots, which were stripped bare.

Buddy went to Spencer, we went to Carteret.  1 more Mahi off of striped bare pots as we pulled in, 1 more rat yellow, and one nice, legit 45ish pound yellow.  Spencer for the buddy was dead.

Water temp was up to 78.  Lemke's was largely lifeless on the way home, except for some Ablies by the buddy.  We tried jigging under a school rays (usually very productive), but no love.

The one keeper yellow had a belly full of the most beautiful squid I've ever seen.  Kept 6 for Fluke bait.  They looked good enough to cook and eat.

Wish I could report better, but it's tough out there right now.

Nice going on the tuna.  Now that trip back was at trolling speed, so I hope the outriggers were in use ;)

We did that for a little while but hit wolfpacks of gator blues when we did . So we just decided we'd never make it back in if we had to keep stopping to fight blues.
