Going fishing for Scup/pogie today with my son form the shore in Fairfield county.

I never fished for them before and i'm not sure what kind of rig to use.

What are you guys using for rigs if you don't mind me asking?

TIA

I would use single hook rig.   Less tangles, less aggravation.  If they are there, one hook is plenty.   I'd rig high low rig but with only one hook.   With strips of squid.   Experiment with small pieces of squid tightly hooked to hook.   Otherwise they will strip it.  I normally start with bigger pieces until I find them and then downsize amount of squid on hook.

I’ve fished a tandem rig with a sinker on the bottom for porgy before. It worked well.
