I cast FLOP Tsunami and Shimano seemed to save the show.

The 4 people I spoke with the past 2 days all said the same thing.......SLOW.

The noteworthy releases seemed very limited.

Salt X spinner, and conventionals, Pliers and Rods....Pretty impressive lineup launch if they prove out..... (the black salt x looks slick)  ((I swear I saw a star drag but can't find it again))

Shimano's Stradic FL, SLX DC, and Speedmasters.....Are looking real nice...(a 250$ 2 speed talica..........at least that's what it looks like)

Completely redesigned Terez rods......Grappler jig sticks.

Lew's 4.9oz Slp Custom lite $280

Live target baits

Yo Zuri's trolling plug and "stick shad"

St Croix's new Avid.....

More Daiwa Tatulas....and another redundant spinning reel.

Abu big baitcasters and a Penn conventional with a live spindle and mags......

13 fishing sold 49% to Rapala/VMC

DID I miss something???

As fisheries collapse so does the need for new gear .

I think that would rank 99 out of 100 for reasons

All Shimano has to do is make an Anti Reverse Bearing that does not rust and can hold up to abuse.

A black saltX :shaky: hopefully they turn out to be a decent reel. Heard good things online from the people who got to test them. Fingers crossed. They took long enough on a release... originally what April or May an they finally got some out in July.

Did they stop decorating the booths with models, or are you just too lazy to photograph them, or what?

Oh no... the Pelagic Gear ladies are still there.

I disagree. I think as fisheries collapse, rubes spend more money to compensate.

-I need “lure X”

-My rod doesn’t have concept guides

-The new reel weighs 1/16 oz less than the one I own

-This reel will add 4 feet to my cast

The list goes on....

I would agree. Harder to catch fish? Unless you know what's ecologically going on, you're going to spend more money on better gear.

Anyone who thinks better gear is going to help them catch fish that aren't there will not be fishing for long . But they will have a lot of stuff  no longer needed

scoob, what are the changes of avid st croix? only thing is noticeable is the color.

Yeah I'm also wondering if it's the same blank.

They changed from black stainless to grey corrosion control alconite guides. Reel seat also has the locking nut as well now.
