NORTHPORT, NY — Raymond Murphy, a Northport resident who retired from the Long Island Rail Road, earned more than $280,000 last year, more than half of which came from overtime, according to the New York Post. Murphy was one of the MTA's highest-paid employees in 2017, earning $405,021, with $295,490 coming from overtime, the Post reported. In 2018, that number was $280,000, with more than half coming from overtime.

Murphy was caught by the MTA inspector general at his Northport home 10 times between April and June of 2018 — when he was supposedly on the clock working — and investigators also caught him filing fraudulent time sheets, according to the Post. The MTA then began disciplinary action against him, recommending possible termination and that steps be taken to collect pay for the hours he didn't work.

However, Murphy retired before the disciplinary process could be completed. The MTA says it still plans to sue him for close to $10,000 for the hours he didn't work, according to the Post. He was able to collect his full pension upon retirement.

so he gets busted, continues to collect a 280K pension   and they hope to recoup $10K     WTF...............   he should be in Jail

I know three LIRR well enough that they used to brag about scamming disability and retirement.

The abuses are rampant and goes to the top.

Nothing ever very happens to the big fish because they are political appointees.

Lock ‘em up Danno.
